Blurb:
L.A. cop Jordan Masters Ryan has a problem. Her normal method of meeting a crisis head-on and taking it down won’t work. Not this time. Not when fate is her adversary. Having kept her from the man she thought she’d always marry, the same fickle fate took away the man she eventually did. Thrown back into the path of her first love, she finds hers is not the only heart fate has damaged.
Widower and software CEO, Cole McCall fills his days with computer codes and his free time working the family’s cattle ranch. Blaming himself for his wife’s death, he’s become hard and bitter. When his visiting former neighbor sets out to delete the firewall around his heart, he discovers there’s no protection against the Jordan virus. Though she understands his pain and reawakens his soul, will it be enough for Cole to overcome his past and embrace their fated hearts?

Excerpt:

“I’m glad you’re amused by this, Jordan, because if you ever step foot inside McCall Enterprises again, I’ll have you physically removed!”
Okay, now that was really amusing. She smiled outright. Funny, that only made his frown deepen. My God, he was serious. Straightening, she shoved her hands on her hips and tilted her head back to stare him down.
“You and what army?”
Oops, there went her mouth again.
His face darkened.  She swallowed and backed away—straight into the railing. One quick stride and he had her trapped with his body. His half naked, wet, mouth-watering body. Damn. Her body immediately rejoiced.
Bad body.
Jaw tight enough to crack, and it did, he glared down at her. “No army.  Just me.”
Intending to push free, her hands met the bare flesh of his chest. Solid. Smooth. Deliciously warm. Her knees wanted to buckle. She refused. He’s just a man. A very well-proportioned man. Arousal, unwanted yet strong, rippled through her, instantly stalling her need to flee. Cole stilled. His incredible broad expanse begged her palms to explore. She drew in a breath. Damn man was too friggin’ sexy for her health. Fresh scented soap and shampoo tickled her senses and she eyed his wet torso. Lucky droplets.  A tremor of desire slipped past her dwindling control as she slowly lifted her gaze.
Stormy brown eyes widened a fraction before locking on hers. With each heartbeat that passed, breathing became a chore.
“Maybe we should make good on those rumors…nymph.” Thrusting his fingers in her loose hair, he held her head immobile.
Sanity returned with his sudden movement. “No,” she protested through clenched teeth, trying to push out of his arms again. There was no way she could survive.  No way.
“Yes, Jordan,” he replied in a rough voice before claiming her mouth.
Hot liquid sensations shot down her spine then back up. Half of her wanted to melt into his magnificent body while the other half wanted to fight. The best compromise to her rebellious libido was to keep her lips closed.
Her good parts tingled and wanted to know where the hell he’d been for the past decade, but she immediately told them to shut the frig up. He made her feel. She did not want to feel. Not yet. Jeez, they needed to straighten him out, and right now, she was so damn mixed up.
Without warning, his kiss changed from savage to soft and seeking and lazy.
Dammit.
Nibbling, teasing, nipping, he didn’t play fair. His tongue glided over the seam of her lips. She couldn’t help it, she moaned, involuntarily giving him access to her mouth. Oops. He tasted of mint and desire. He was so hot. So very, very hot.

Her Unbridled Cowboy
Harland County Series
Book Two:  Connor
by Donna Michaels

Blurb:
Homeless and unemployed thanks to an earthquake, divorced California chef Kerri Masters agrees to head back to her hometown to help plan her sister’s Texas wedding.  It must be her weakened state that has her eyeing the neighbor she used to follow around as a child. Her tastes tend towards gentlemen in suits, cultured, and neatly groomed— not a dimple-glaring, giant of a cowboy. He’s big and virile, and makes her want things the inadequacies brought out during her divorce keep her from carrying out.
Connor McCall’s brotherly feelings for the pesky former neighbor disappear when the grown up version steps on his ranch in her fancy clothes and shiny heels. Too bad she’s a city girl, because he has no use for them. Three times he tried to marry one, and three times the engagements failed. He’s not looking for number four no matter how much his body is all for jumping back in the saddle and showing the sexy chef just how it feels to be loved by a cowboy.
Turns out the earthquake was nothing compared to the passionate, force of nature of an unbridled cowboy, and Kerri learns far more about herself, and Connor, than she ever expected.  But when events put his trust in her on the line, will he choose his heart or his pride?
 Excerpt:

It took all of five seconds for the jumbling inside Kerri to subside. She poured herself a glass of ice water and leaned against the counter feeling much better, much calmer. Looking around the McCall’s quiet kitchen, she understood why. This room represented nothing but fun and happy times. A smile tugged at her lips as she recalled the many lessons their cook, Emma, had given to a young and eager protégé when Kerri had only lived ten minutes away.
Twirling an ice cube around in her mouth, she pondered her homeless situation. For the past three nights, she’d been staying with Jordan at their friend Megan’s house, and now with her sister’s engagementwhich Kerri was sure wouldn’t be a long oneher job situation was suddenly unknown.
Just happy to be alive, she hadn’t given any real thought about her unemployment. She naturally assumed she and her sister would rebuild, but now that Jordan would soon become Mrs. Cole McCall, her sister wasn’t going to leave Texas. And she wouldn’t expect her to.
But, where does that leave me?
“I figured I’d find you in here, kiddo,” Connor said.
Caught off guard, her heart kicked against her ribs like a bucking bronco while a startled gasp ripped up her throat, propelling the ice cube from her mouth.
Of course, it couldn’t just land on the floor and make the situation only mildly embarrassing. No. The sucker had to shoot straight across the room and hit the handsome cowboy square in the chest.
“Well now, darlin’, for a city girl, you’ve got a heck of an aim,” he drawled.
The sexy dimples made an appearance, and her face heated beyond scalding.
“Oh, Connor, I…I’m so sorry.” Hand to her throat, she blinked. Feeling like an idiot, which lately wasn’t much of a stretch, Kerri grabbed a napkin from the counter, rushed forward and dabbed at the wet spot centered over his heart.
It leapt.
No, she had to be wrong. Why would his heart leap? It wouldn’t leap. Okay, now she was imagining things, just like she was imagining the thundering taking place under her palm.
Thundering. How silly. Her heart was thundering. Not Connor’s. She was such an idiot. No way would this virile cowboy’s heart leap or thunder because of her. No way. Her rapid pulse was starving her brain for oxygen. That’s what it was. She was hallucinating. Because if not, that would mean…that would mean he…and it couldn’t mean…
He cleared his throat. “Ah, darlin’, a little water isn’t gonna hurt me none.”
The deep timber of his voice had no business being breathless as well. Darn him. Now he wasn’t the only one who was wet.
Big and broad and hard, the man smelled clean and fresh, like he’d just stepped out of the shower. And he was hot. Really hot. Steam rising hot. Heat emanated from his body, engulfing her in a searing, sensual embrace.
Suddenly tingling from head to toe, she realized just how close they stood. Very close. Too close. She had to fight the urgereally, really fight the urgeto lean forward and nuzzle his neck.
A tremor started at her toes, and before it could reach midway, she stumbled backward, and, oh, look at that, stepped on what was left of the ice cube.
As she slipped and headed for the floor, two strong hands clamped around her arms and held her upright. Dang, he’s quick and strong.
Nervous laughter bubbled up her throat. “Found the ice cube,” she said, staring at that neck still beckoning for a nuzzle.

Her Uniform Cowboy
Harland County Series
Book Three:  Kade
by Donna Michaels
Amazon link:
 Blurb:

Desperate for change after a verbally abusive relationship, Brandi Wyne leaves a symphony career, her family, and the Poconos to fall back on a designing degree and a chance to renovate a restaurant/pub in Texas. Even though part of a National Guard family, she’d sworn off military men when the last one proved less than supportive of her thyroid condition and subsequent weight gain. Too bad her body seems to forget that fact whenever she’s near the very hot, very military local sheriff.

Texas Army National Guard First Sergeant Kade Dalton never planned on becoming Harland County Sheriff or the attraction to a curvy, military-hating designer from Pennsylvania. Heavy with guilt from the death of a soldier under his command during a recent deployment, and dealing with his co-owned horse ranch and a bungling young deputy, it's hard most days just to keep his sanity. But it’s the Yankee bombshell who threatens not only his sanity, but tempts his body...and his heart.

Fighting their attraction becomes a losing battle, and Kade soon finds sanctuary in the arms of the beautiful designer.  Does he really have the right to saddle Brandi with his stress issues? And if so, can he take a chance on the town’s newest resident not abandoning him like others in his past?

Excerpt:

“Kade, wait. Look, I’m sorry. I really am.”
He halted and turned to face the clinging designer. “Fine. Duly noted.”
“No.” She frowned. “It’s not fine. I accused you of something horrible, and I was wrong. I’m sorry.”
Shit. Tears were filling her eyes again.
“I think it’s wonderful that you help out the Humane Society.”
He did more than that, but he wasn’t about to enlighten the crazy woman. “Thanks.” His tone gave away his less than sincere thoughts, but he didn’t care. He was ticked off. Damn high-n-mighty Pennsylvanian.
“Why are you so sensitive? I said I was sorry.”
“Why indeed.”  He stepped closer then stalked the frustrating Yankee when she backed up. “Tell me, Ms. Wyne.” He didn’t stop until her back hit the front of a stall. “There are several other people who live on this ranch, did any of them cross your mind as being the culprit?”
Eyes round, she swallowed and slowly shook her head.
Kade bit back a curse. “Figures.”
He stepped away, and then changed his mind. Grasping the spokes on either side of her head, he pulled himself in and stared into her widening brown eyes. “Just what the hell is your problem with me, lady?”
She drew in a breath, her luscious mouth opening as if to respond; the action brought their bodies in contact in a hell of a delectable way. And son-of-a-bitch, if his body didn’t overrule his mind and take over the interrogation. Tightening his grasp on the bars, he pressed closer, rejoicing in her hitched breath and the way she trembled against him.
“Well?”
“I…” She swallowed, blinked a few times, then asked, “Wh-what was the question again?”
Damned if he knew. Christ, he was lucky to remember his own name with her soft curves brushing him, pulling him out of himself, busting his restraint, making his need a number one priority. And he never put himself first. Ever.
But when her hungry gaze dropped to his mouth, all bets were off. He had to know. Had to taste her.

Her Forever Cowboy
Harland County Series
Book Four: Kevin
by Donna Michaels

Blurb
Single mother, Shayla Ryan, longs to put down roots to create a stable environment for her baby girl and her younger sister, but the threat of her abusive, ex-con father finding them has made that almost impossible. Her newest residence in Harland County, however, holds a lot of appeal, especially in the form of a Casanova cowboy with eye-catching good looks and easy charm. Those two qualities took her down the wrong road before, and though the sexy cowboy interferes with her pulse, she can’t let her heart get in the way of the safety of her family, or give it to someone who doesn’t believe in forever.
If there’s one thing software company vice president, Kevin Dalton, loves more than puzzles, it’s women. Size, shape, race doesn’t matter as long as they don’t want a relationship—he’s not looking to repeat the past, and more than happy to remain single. Until two beautiful redheads drop him to his knees—one with her cutie-pie smile, the other with her elbow. Too bad the elbow-toting beauty is both hot and puzzling. A killer combination too strong to resist. And without realizing it, the redheads slowly rewrite the code around his heart.
But when the danger from Shayla’s past shows up, can he rise to the challenge to keep them safe...and really be what they need? A forever cowboy?
Excerpt
“Why are you always on the defensive around me?” he asked. “You’re not like that with Kade or Cole or Connor.”
She opened her mouth to protest, then stilled. He was right. Shoot. “I…don’t know.”
Frowning, he cocked his head. “Do you have something against having fun?”
“No.” she laughed. “Fun is a good thing.”
“And yet, you don’t like me because I have fun.”
“That’s not true.”
“Liar.”
“I’m not lying.” She shook her head, doing her best to be truthful without revealing too much. “I don’t like you because you’re dangerous.”
He reeled back and stared at her. “Me, dangerous? No, darlin’. I’m a lover, not a fighter.”
She blew out a breath. “And that’s exactly why you’re dangerous.”
His brows disappeared under his hat. “Oh, now I’m really curious,” he said. “Does that make me irresponsible, or irresistible?”
Tempting as hell.
“Both.”
Heaven help her, a wicked gleam entered his eyes and turned them positively electric.
“So this is probably a bad idea.” Placing his hands on either side of her head, he leaned in and inhaled near her ear.
Breath caught in her throat while goose bumps raced down her right side, perking her already perky nipples. “Yeah.” It wasn’t smart at all. And neither was she because he hadn’t touched her. He was giving her the opportunity to protest. To move.
She didn’t.
Yeah…stupid.
“And this,” he said, against her neck, knocking his hat off, but he didn’t stop, just continued to blaze a trail to her shoulder, giving her eyes a real good reason to roll back in her head.
“V-very bad.” Her legs were about to buckle.
Push him away.
She needed to push him away. Now.
“Then I definitely shouldn’t do this.”
Thrusting his hand in her hair, he cupped the back of her head and kissed her full on the lips, and deep, very deep. That was it. She was done. To hell with pushing him away.
Shayla dropped the jacket, reached around his back and yanked him close, her perky nipples rejoicing at the contact with his hard, hot body. And he was hard and hot. All of him. A very impressive erection pressed impressively against her belly as his hips rocked against hers.
Someone moaned. Probably her. Didn’t matter. He felt so damn good, plastering her against the wall, dipping and drinking as if he couldn’t get enough. Or was that her? Again, it didn’t matter. Her whole body was alive and on fire and wanted. It had been so very long since someone had wanted her. Not since that cowboy in Amarillo. Amelia’s father.
Shoot.
Shayla drew back and sucked in air. “This…is…”
“Bad, I know,” he said, breath ragged, gaze as dazed as she felt.
“It can’t happen again.”
He nodded.
“We’re too…”
“Combustible,” he correctly supplied.
“Exactly. We lead two different lives.” She inhaled deeply. “You should go.”
“I know.”
He didn’t move. Why didn’t he move? She didn’t have the strength, or willpower, to resist him if he initiated another killer kiss.
“You need to leave,” she tried again.
Amusement chased away some of the haze from his gaze. “I will…as soon as you let go of me, darlin’.”
