He has the fame but she has the fortune…

The only word to accurately describe Ryder Scott’s life is charmed. A superstar on all counts, he gets everything he wants with a wink, a smile and a promise he never plans on fulfilling. With his sights set on having the movie he wrote produced, he takes the easy road and secures funding from the underbelly of society. The only issue is he used the money for other necessities including designer clothes and sports cars. Out of cash, he’s in trouble.

Cold, calculated and conniving, Cora Caine is one of the youngest female Internet billionaires in history. Her success stems from hard work and a will of steel. Now she’s up for the position of CEO of Ultracom, but in order to earn her place, she must learn to be likable. Whoever said business was nice?

When Ryder thrusts himself into Cora’s perfectly planned life and promises to help her get her dream job all for the small fee of paying for his movie, the offer seems made in negotiation heaven. She never considered he might be risking her life as well as her checkbook to his benefit.

However, when their hearts enter their business deal, they find there may be things in life more important than being Idolized.

Idolized is the third and final book in the Hollywood Stardust series. Each book is stand alone with their own central couple and no cliffhangers.

Excerpt

GOLDEN EYES, LONG, LAYERED black hair that framed his face, tall, lean and powerful. When Christine pictured her ghost, never in her wildest dreams, did she think she would conjure a man who was only a little older than her and looked like rock star crossed with a sexy superhero, or maybe even a super villain. Heck, the man even wore a white mask over half his face. All he needed was a cape to go with his tight white button down and equally as tight and much more impressive black jeans.

Did she ask about the mask or was it apparent why he wore it? What did she do now? No matter what he looked like, she had to hug her benefactor.

She swore she felt him shaking when she wrapped her arms around him, but it didn’t stop her.

After what seemed like an eternity, he gave her a light embrace. She didn’t know why her breath caught or why she didn’t want to let go.

He stepped back first and stared into her face.

Neither of them spoke. As if they each needed to assess the other, they simply stood there.

“Erik?” She had to say something.

“Come on.” He took her arm. “We have to get you formally settled. We have a lot of work to do if you’re going to be ready for that audition.”

“You said something about some ground rules?” She hurried to keep up with him.

Without another word, he led her backstage to a set of stairs.

Maybe she was insane, but it never occurred for her not to follow him. Instead, she kept tight hold of him while he led her into the dimly lit passageway and brought her down two flights of stairs. The door he opened showed pitch-black nothingness.

“Erik!” With a gasp, she pulled him closer.

“Another thing we need to work on is your fear of the dark.” His smooth voice seemed to caress her. “The darkness is nothing to fear. Trust me, bright light can hold just as many horrors.”

"The fruit you ate before, it acts as an aphrodisiac." Porter cleared his throat. "We know how aroused you are, and it's making us insane."
"What?" She covered her chest with her hand. Even with the interruption every part of her tingled, begged for attention.
"You can't hide from us." Julian moved her arm aside. "We can smell your arousal, we know you have wanted us for a while, but you couldn't decide who you wanted more."
Her research never mentioned shifters were also mind readers.
"That fruit is just giving you a little taste into the torture we feel by just looking at you. Julian cupped her breast, his thumb barely making contact with her stiff, tender nipple. "We both want you. We both wanted you from the moment we saw you fall into the room."
"Never doubt that." Porter wrapped one arm around her waist.
Her focus darted between the two of them and she shook her head. The words they spoke couldn't be real, neither could be the way they were all in the same bed together. She opened her mouth but had no reply.
"So since we both want you and have agreed to both have you, you have to make one more choice." Julian lifted his eyebrows. "Above all else remember that we want you."
Both have her? She held her breath.
"We don't want you to be with us because your body is in pain, we understand the agony." Porter continued. "We are giving you the choice of either having us satisfy you, leaving you alone to take of your problem yourself, or…"
Her cheeks heated and she waited for what came next.
"We want to mate with you." Porter pulled her toward him.
Julian lowered his face closer to hers. "He means we want to make love to you."
In truth, there was no choice to be made, she wanted them and they knew it, and in some insane twist of luck she won the ultimate prize. No matter if it were only for this one fleeting second, as always she acted fast, scared she would change her mind and squander her chance to live the fantasy no matter what the cost. Her life opened up the moment she met them. How could being with them be wrong? They were all she had. "I want you…both."

A Lucky Stars author blog takeover

Lucky Stars Box Set
 Amazon – only .99!

Hi!

My name is Christine Ashworth, and I’m just one of the authors of the Lucky Stars Box Set that’s been invited by Inner Goddess to invade the blog today.

The Lucky Stars Box Set contains “Seven sexy Sci Fi and Paranormal romance short stories from some of the hottest names in romance.” We thought you’d like a bit of background for how we came up with our stories, and so we oblige…

Louisa Bacio, author of LUCKY CHARMS, has this to say about her story… “I completely blame Kim & Solera, who put out the call with the March 17 release date. I thought, "Yeah, what would they want, a leprechaun romance?" And then I came up with my opening line. It all flowed from there.”

Here’s Kim Carmichael’s insight for MADE FOR LOVE: “I was inspired by what someone who had a lot of emotion could do, if coupled with someone who never learned emotion.”

Solera Winters has this to say about THE LAST DATE: “The Last Date" was inspired by Kim Carmichael’s book Eternity. Back when she wrote her story I started thinking of a cupid story too. After all, the Greek gods were my main interest. When I started doing some research, I ran across Anteros, who definitely intrigued me. I wrote an opening (the part about him avenging an unrequited lover) and put it aside while I worked on other things. When the Lucky Stars Box Set came up, I thought of that story again, and thought it could work as a short. I was one of those women who waited a long time to find love, and while I never had a certain number of dates, I could relate to Vikki's issues. I was delighted Vikki Godwin and Tony Anteros found their happily ever after.”

My story, THORNE’S ROSE, was inspired by a Grimm’s fairy tale called “The Rose.” I took the story, shook it out and twisted it so; rather than the character dying when the rose bloomed, a prize-winning rose bush, one that hadn’t bloomed in a hundred years, wouldn’t bloom until two long-dead lovers were reunited. Hollister and Emmalee have to reverse a curse her ancestor put upon his family, in order for them to achieve their own happy ever after.

Erzabet Bishop says this about her story, TAMING THE BEAST: “It was inspired by my love of fairy tales and the need to bring the modern woman into a place where the tales related to her. BBW (Big, beautiful women) are often overlooked in romance and I wanted the chance to show that we are people too. We love, play with dogs, have fun and can handle anything a wicked witch can throw at us. Especially when it involves the people and animals we love. I hope you enjoy my Beauty and the Beast meets the Bachelor tale and you never know...this one could just very possibly grow from a novella to a novel.”

And we’re on to Fred T.  Kerns’ story, MISSION TO BELLATRIX.  Now, Fred has been in seclusion the past couple of days, working hard on his next book, so here’s a brief blurb…Kolya Mason, a young adventurer with a badly scarred face, has been hitchhiking on starships for several years. Now, she boards a ship leaving Terran-controlled space for the first time, joining a science team investigating the reappearance of a long-lost spacecraft. She's accompanied by a gorgeous young man who insists on tagging along ... but what's he up to? Is he genuinely attracted to her, or does he have some other agenda?” This book features several characters first introduced in GAME OVER. Fred is also looking to expand this story into a full length novel.

And last but not least, we come to the Bad Boy of Romance himself, Sascha Illyvich.  Here’s what he has to say… "The inspiration for SUBMIT TO HIM came from a bratty submissive I once owned, who really believed she was unlovable.  A BBW, though she found herself unattractive, her Prince saw the beauty in her and told her to start changing her outlook by changing what she wore.  I was lingerie shopping for myself one night and convinced her to look at some stuff online.  Her natural curiosity got the best of her and she ended up getting a red lace boyshort and bra set.  Yet she needed more, a real hard lesson in what a gift her submissive tendencies were, so I wrote her into the Reinhold series and gave her what she wanted; to be treated like an adult and forced to deal with real world problems, including her own, by adulting.

This project has been an absolute blast to participate in, and I hope you’ll give us a try.

Synopsis

A signature can change everything…
Rather than silver, Randolph Van Ayers III was born with a platinum spoon in his mouth and plenty of strings attached. Faced with a list of specific goals he must achieve in order to earn control of his family’s banking empire, he’s accomplished each task and triumphed. One item remains on his list. He must marry by his thirty-third birthday and stay married for one year. However, when his so-called fiancée leaves him on the courtroom steps only hours before his deadline, he realizes he might lose for the first time in his life, and a Van Ayers never fails.

Taught to rely on the universe for answers, Willow Day has always struggled in the material world, specifically her lack of material. With her small holistic store near foreclosure and without a home, she must do anything within her power to make the business work and take care of the woman who raised her. When the rude, yet gorgeous, Randolph the Third offers to fix all her troubles in exchange for one year of her life, she opens her mind and takes a chance.

On The Dotted Line is a full-length (90,000 + Words) stand alone novel

It’s the battle of the mystical over the money. Between a hidden pet who looks more like a cotton ball, performance artists with wings, and a woman who spouts advice like a living fortune cookie, everything from restaurant reservations to a trip to celebrate the winter solstice create clashes for the couple as they learn how to fit into each other’s worlds.

With both their futures at stake, they must learn to accept reality, what the fates have dealt them and the consequences of falling in love from the moment they decided to sign on the dotted line.

Review by pearls (Jan. 19, 2014)
The only thing Shane Elliott takes seriously is his art. He rolls through life with his menagerie of tattoo parlor friends as though it is one big party. Lyndsey, on the other hand, takes life too seriously, constantly balancing the pro's and con's of each decision. When she moves next door to the sexy tattooist, her personal ledgers cease to add up while she fixes his business's books. And Shane comes to realize that his life needs a bit more direction if he wants to get what he wants. Together, Shane, Lyndsey, and friends create a comedic romance that throws away the stereotypes and lets you fall in love with the quirky characters underneath.

Excerpt:

I picked this excerpt because I felt is showed a) how truly different Shane and Lindsay are; and b) how hilariously quirky these characters. I mean, how does a lunch box become the metaphor for an relationship???

“What does a good girl like little Lindsay prepare big bad Shane for lunch?” Ivan picked up the cooler.
“Hey.” He reached for it, but Ivan held it out of his reach.
“This is pretty heavy. She must think you’re a pig.”
“Give it.” He set his jaw.
“Either you open it, or I do.” Ivan put his finger on the button latch.
“You’re an ass.” He reclaimed his cooler and opened it himself.
They peered inside.
“I think that’s Tupperware.” Ivan pointed.
Everything in the cooler was neatly packaged and Shane hated to disturb it.
“You can’t lose that stuff. Women hate it if you lose their Tupperware, and if it’s Lindsay’s it’s all brand new.”
“I know. I’m not going to lose it.” He prayed he wouldn’t lose the Tupperware and pulled out the first plastic square.
Ivan leaned in as Shane lifted the lid. “Wow.”
“It’s a salad.” Her precision cutting technique had all the vegetables uniformly sliced and diced.
“And not just lettuce, there’s a good representation of different vegetables in there.” Ivan nodded. “She even put the dressing off to the side so it wouldn’t get soggy.”
Shane took a breath. Lindsay was all about the details and watching her work was fast becoming one of his favorite spectator sports. One second she was quiet and going through her papers, the next she was sternly giving him a lecture on finances. Half the time he didn’t understand what she said, but he loved watching her get all riled up. However with his money situation slowly being wrangled, she seemed to soften. Maybe it was time to plan an outing with her that didn’t involve business talk. With Lindsay, timing was crucial.
“What’s your second course?”
He blinked as Ivan interrupted his thoughts and retrieved a round container from the cooler, opening it to reveal a sandwich on a circular piece of bread that fit the Tupperware perfectly.
“That’s cool how she did that.” Ivan pointed. “What kind is it?”
He lifted the bread. “Turkey.”
“Healthy. She must not want you to die.” Ivan rubbed his hands together. “Keep going.”
He dug through the rest of lunch. A rectangular tub contained fruit salad, and a smaller square had cookies. Finally he pulled out a triangle one with a piece of cheese and some crackers.
“How does she do that?”
The lunch was as amazing as the woman who made it. His mouth watered. “What?”
“How does she make all those shapes fit together?” Ivan motioned toward all the containers.
“It’s so the food doesn’t get wrecked.”
“Only girls know how to do that.”
Shane pursed his lips. “Yeah, it’s pretty cool.”
