Seize me From Darkness (Pierced Hearts #4)
STANDALONE NOVEL
by Cari Silverwood
This book is part of a dark erotic fiction series and may disturb some readers.
Retaken by human traffickers, Jazmine's one hope is ex-cop, ex-mercenary, Pieter, a man with a glower that stops lesser men in their tracks. She prays he can save her. But this savior is far from perfect and his flaws may prove as devastating to Jazmine as the torture of her captors. The fire of dominance never dies.

Review by pearls
This book is perfect fodder for kidnap fantasies. Jasmine, a reporter, has found her way into the seediest parts of the world. There is no good guy/bad guy scenario, just different shades of bad. Even her rescuers would kill her if it meant saving their own skins. But when one man cares for her enough to get to know her, to know her even better than she knows herself, he finds a way to not only save her but to keep her bound to him. No one could go through this kind of physical and emotional torture and return to their normal self unscathed. And, so Jasmine must learn who she is now and how that change will affect the rest of her life. There is much to hate about Pieter and much to love. Despite his dark side, his love for Jasmine and his determination to keep her safe is never in question. He pays attention enough to find her needs that previous lovers never fulfilled. But Silverwood never lets us forget that he is a brutal man who lives on the other side of the law.
In the end, we must all realize that love is not black and white, that what we think we need isn't always the same as what we really need, and that while love and hate can both be selfish and possessive, the motive behind the actions can make all the difference.
