Blurb:
Ryder Bridges likes to play around, but he didn’t always. Heart broken by the only person he ever tried to give his heart to, Ryder decides light and easy is better than deep and painful.

Lachlan Holter isn’t great with feelings. He’s even worse with words. Still, one thing he knows is, he is too old to be falling for someone who is incapable of being in a serious relationship.

Mistakes and assumptions take control, but when all is finally revealed these two men will have a choice to make. Is playing things safe the way to go, or will Lachlan finally end up taming his cowboy?

an MM Cowboy Romance

Excerpt:
Removing his akubra from his head as he used his forearm to wipe his brow, Ryder dropped the hat next to the boots he kicked off and began unbuttoning his flannel shirt when someone chuckled. Head shooting up, his fingers paused as his eyes locked with those belonging to the very person who had the ability to completely unravel him.
“Lachlan,” he said, swallowing loudly, a blush creeping up his cheeks.
Shit. He hadn’t seen the man sitting there.
Lachlan Holter sat at the kitchen table, beer in hand as he leaned back in the chair, socked feet kicked up onto the table in front of him. Akubra lying next to his feet, Lachlan’s short dark hair was matted with sweat, his tight blue t-shirt damp as well. A discarded flannel shirt lay draped over the back of the chair Lachlan sat propped in, as he took another sip.
When Ryder met the other man’s gaze, he suddenly realized he had been caught staring. Well crap.
The older man raised a brow. “I know you like to spread the love, but don’t you think you should be checking to see who is around before you start stripping down?”
Ryder paused, taking a deep breath. He couldn’t help bristling at the censure he heard in the other man’s tone. “Spread the love?”
“You know what I mean.”
Oh, he knew what the man meant. And it pissed him off.
“Yeah, you think I’m a slut,” he bit out, continuing to remove his shirt.
He threw it into the doorway leading off of the kitchen that lead to the laundry, then headed over to the sink to grab a glass of water, doing everything in his power to pretend Lachlan didn’t exist. His efforts were for nothing, though, as his traitorous eyes kept darting glances over at the older man.
When Lachlan frowned, Ryder braced himself for whatever was about to come out.
“Well, you do get around a bit, but I never would have put it like that.”
“No, of course not.” Ryder snorted. “You’d just insinuate it with snide remarks.”
“Whoa.” Lachlan held his hands up, eyes going wide. “What the hell has gotten in to you?”
God, the man could be so dense.

Review by pearls
Hang on for an 8 secong wild ride of a read!  This erotica starts bucking immediately out of the chute as two men finally succumb to their feelings for one another.  After a wild night, mistaking their intentions take the two off to a rocky start.  Can they hang on to each other long enough to build a foundation for a relationship?  Can Lachlan finally see Ryder as the grown man he has become? Can Ryder learn to take what he wants?  Their time together is explosive, the spaces filled with pent-up feelings .  I can feel the intensity between them from start to finish.
