Say My Name

Say My Name
Stark International  Book 1
by J. Kenner
an Erotica Romance
from  Bantam, Random House

Book Description:

New York Times bestselling author J. Kenner kicks off a smoking hot, emotionally compelling new erotic trilogy that returns to the world of her beloved Stark novels:
Release Me, Claim Me, and Complete Me. Say My Name features Jackson Steele, a strong-willed man who goes after what he wants, and Sylvia Brooks, a disciplined woman who’s hard to get—and exactly who Jackson needs.
I never let anyone get too close—but he’s the only man who’s ever made me feel alive.

Meeting Jackson Steele was a shock to my senses. Confident and commanding, he could take charge of any room . . . or any woman. And Jackson wanted me. The mere sight of him took my breath away, and his touch made me break all my rules.
Our bond was immediate, our passion untamed. I wanted to surrender completely to his kiss, but I couldn’t risk his knowing the truth about my past. Yet Jackson carried secrets too, and in our desire we found our escape, pushing our boundaries as far as they could go.

Learning to trust is never easy. In my mind, I knew I should run. But in my heart, I never felt a fire this strong—and it could either save me or scorch me forever.

Say My Name is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

I just finished Say My Name by J Kenner and WOW. I love J Kenner's Stark series and she has another hit on her hands with this book. I have been reluctant to leave the Stark universe and now I got a chance at another peek, even if from a new perspective.

This book centers on Sylvia - Damien's personal assistant and want to be project manager. She is given the chance to manage a project for a new property when the architect sets down. In order to keep it going, she must convince Jackson Steele, renown architect and Damien hater, that he is the right man for the job. But she forgot to mention that she and Jackson have a history. A very intense, very short lived history.

Jackson agrees to design the property but that agreement comes with a price! The question - is that price too high?

The character of Sylvia is fascinating. Her relationship with her best friend Cass is fascinating and I really got sucked in very quickly. And then comes Jackson. He is arrogant, charming, smart, and who wouldn't love this guy. Sparks fly immediately with Syl. But they each have a past and secrets that tore them apart once. Can they get past those secrets to work together? Even more, can they tell their secrets in order to be together?

The story moves quickly because it is so hard to put down. I read at every opportunity because I really wanted to see where the masterful Ms. Kenner was going to take it. There were lots of twists and turns, most of which I didn't predict but when all was revealed, it was all very believable.

Now I have to wait anxiously for the next book in what will hopefully be a long line of books set in the Stark world.

Jackson Steele is a man who bends the world to suit his vision.  The only thing he couldn't conquer was Sylvia.  Sylvia has her own demons to slay, and Jackson realizes his role is to support her.  I love that he is a big strong Alpha, but willing to put her needs first.  Sylvia has been on survival mode for the last decade.  Jackson threatens to crack that carefully constructed façade.  Can she trust him?  The author weaves in just enough doubt to keep you wondering, yet making Jackson appear the white knight you want him to be. The chemistry between the two is hot and sizzling. As the world unravels around them, Jackson  and Sylvia work on building trusting between themselves. But with a shocking twist at the end, this story could go either way.  Ready for book 2!

Seducing Rain

Seducing Rain
by Amber Kell
an Erotic Romance, M/M , BDSM, Suspense
from ARe
Book Description:
Two stubborn men try to find love, balance and the path to escape a killer's hold...

Rainier Lemmon had taken one picture too many. After accidentally capturing a shooting on film, he finds himself in danger and needing a place to hide out.

Greg Carter has wanted Rain back ever since their one and only weekend together. But when Rain returns, it’s meant to be only temporary.

Can Greg seduce Rain into staying longer? Possibly forever.

Review by pearls
I fell in love with Rain at first sight, so I can relate to Greg's obsession with him.  But being a free spirit who's never been able to trust someone, Rain is not prepared to play the submissive beyond bedroom games.   Nothing and No one makes him feel safer than Greg, so when he is in danger he turns to the Dom.  The Alpha in Greg rises to the occasion.  Once the truth is finally fleshed out, there is still the unresolved danger to move the plot along.  The secondary characters deserve novels of their own, so I will be checking out this series.
About the Author:
Amber Kell has made a career out of daydreaming. It has been a lifelong habit she practices diligently as shown by her complete lack of focus on anything not related to her fantasy world building.

When she told her husband what she wanted to do with her life he told her to go have fun.
During those seconds she isn't writing she remembers she has children who humor her with games of 'what if' and let her drag them to foreign lands to gather inspiration. Her youngest confided in her that he wants to write because he longs for a website and an author name—two things apparently necessary to be a proper writer.

Despite her husband's insistence she doesn't drink enough to be a true literary genius she continues to spin stories of people falling happily in love and staying that way.

She is thwarted during the day by a traffic jam of cats on the stairway and a puppy who insists on walks, but she bravely perseveres.
