Review by pearls:
On the surface, Midnight Run is a damsel in distress story. Underneath, though, the theme is about finding your true self and your own way. I loved that Jack was able to let those he cared about work on discovering themselves and their true wants, even when it broke his heart to do so. Malakai is a cute little thing with much to learn. I am glad he got his HEA for that.
