Told in alternating point of view, the reader sees both sides of the story as it develops. The regrets, the guilt, the lost love on both sides are revealed as the backstory is told leading up to the one tragic night that separated them. The one night that shredded their dreams and redefined them as a couple and as individuals. When they run into each other again, they are different people, but the feelings are still there. Can they forgive the past in order to rebuild a new dream? Sometimes stories like this take too long to develop, but not this one. The pacing is well planned out and the secrets are revealed at a pace that just keeps getting deeper and deeper until you are not sure there can be a way back to each other.
