Blurb
Mick Roberts, the newest partner at Twisted Steel's custom hotrod and motorcycle shop, looks like a man with everything. But secretly he still craves the connection he lost when his best friend Adam and the love of his life Jessilynn walked out. Then, he wasn't ready for the pleasure they promised. Now, things have changed.

Rich, powerful, and insatiable, Adam Gulati is used to getting what he wants. And there's nothing he wants more than Mick and Jessi. He hasn't seen either in over a year, but the second he sets eyes on them again his memories-and his desires-can't be denied.

After trying to live without them, Jessi Franklin realized no one else can satisfy her like Adam and Mick. The three of them need one another-in more ways than one. It's time to stop pretending and submit to the hunger they all share. But once they go down this road, there's no turning back. As deeply devoted as they are, no one knows what great bliss their forbidden fantasy will find-or the price they may pay . . .

Review by pearls

Older and more mature, the three childhood friends reunite to find their love for one another is as strong as ever.  The feelings that once had them running away from each other now has them bonding into a secure ménage relationship. There is a lot of trust and honesty in a relationship, but this book shows that you must first trust and be honest with yourself.  Jessie has become a self-reliant woman, Adam has learned to control his own dominant side, and Mitch has learned to accept that he worthy.  While this story starts years into their relationship, there is a lot of backstory provided to reveal the developing dynamics between them.  And while it is the third book in the series and includes characters from the other books, it can be read without the others.   This book deals mainly with the internal conflict of finding love and acceptance even in unconventional means.  A welcome addition to the Ink & Chrome family.

Excerpt

“Shirt off, Jess,” Adam whispered in her ear like a fallen angel luring her to temptation.
“Just because it’s off doesn’t mean it has left my custody,” she told Mick as she whipped her shirt up and over her head. If she was expected to give back all the clothing she pilfered, she’d be naked a third of the time. She stole them, they were hers. That was the rule.
Mick’s grin made her tingly and swoony. Honestly, how could she ever have thought happiness was possible without these two people in her life?
“I’d never think to steal my shirts back once you have them.” Mick stepped close enough to slide his upper body against hers.
“Oh!”
Laughing, Mick reached around her to get Adam’s shirt free as well. “You too.”
Jessi turned in their arms so she could get a look at Adam, and holy cow was she glad she had. Tawny skin played over his upper body. No ink but on his inner forearm at his elbow. Jessilyn. In her handwriting. He’d shown it to her the last time she’d seen him.
“I never told you why I put your name there,” Adam said as she slid her fingertips over his skin.
She waited for the telling and when she did, he smiled, grinding his cock into her.
“You’re my addiction. The thing I need more than anything.”
Always so tough. So taciturn and grumpy. And yet, so very tender it broke her heart sometimes. Hell, he’d broken her heart more than once too. It came with loving him, she’d finally accepted.
“Is that why you denied yourself?” She gave in and combed her fingers through his hair. “And denied me too, I might add.”
“I had to work through a lot of shit, and I couldn’t do it with anyone else. I had to do it alone.” His voice was rough, full of guilt and anguish.
“I hear the guilt in your voice. Let it go.” Selfishly, she wanted him to be unfettered when he came to her at long last. So she’d know he was there for good.
“So you don’t hate me?” he asked.
Startled, her eyes widened and she tugged on his hair to get his attention. “I could never hate you, Adam, and if I did, I wouldn’t be here. I’m here because I’ve always been here, just waiting for you to remember that.”
He pressed into her body as Mick gave no quarter at her back. Being squeezed that way kept her immobile.
And it was delicious.
He said nothing else before he bent to kiss her. At first slow, teasing, sexy kisses that heated her belly and made her knees feel like noodles. He licked at her lips, teasing her mouth open until she sighed happily.
Mick played his fingertips up her sides, brushing over the curve of her breasts. “When I saw these tonight I knew you’d worn that dress for me.”
“I admit that when I tried it on and it had all that tasteful side boob I knew you’d appreciate it,” Jessi said as Adam moved away from her mouth.
“Who doesn’t appreciate it?” Adam asked as he stepped back enough to grab the waistband of her pajama bottoms and shove them down her legs, along with her panties. “As far as side boob goes, yours is aces.”
Jessi laughed and then got nervous because they both still had pants on and there she was naked as a jaybird.
“Mick, why don’t you lead our angel to the bed?” Like a switch had been thrown, Adam took charge. He drew authority around himself like a cloak.
Mick backed her up slowly, caressing her shoulder before pressing kisses across her skin.
It was really happening. After years of going through the motions, here it was, the moment she’d been waiting for since she’d woken up to find out Mick had reenlisted.
Desire made her limbs heavy, left her movements languid as Mick shifted to lay her back on Adam’s big bed.
“I’m naked and neither of you are,” she said, proud she’d remembered all her words. She got snagged up in the details. The muscles and ink. Both men’s gazes roamed her face and her body and there was no mistaking just how happy they were to be right there.
The inner walls of her pussy contracted on nothing, sharpening the ache.
“Patience,” Adam said.
She raised a brow his way. “Are you new here?”
Mick, laughing, bent to kiss her.
A crack sounded and Mick groaned into her mouth as he moved forward. Did Adam just spank Mick? Jeez, they had to hold some of this super hot stuff back or she’d burn to cinder.
She opened her eyes to watch Mick straighten, a flush on his neck. Adam liked it too, getting caught up for a few moments before turning back to Jessi.
“I’m not new here, no. I know you’re impatient and greedy when it comes to orgasms.”
Jessi grinned at Adam, knowing there was a but coming along soon.
“But I’m in charge. You’ll get what you’re begging for. When I’m ready to give it to you.”
One of those sortof orgasms, the kind you had in dreams, stole through her as she squeezed her thighs together. He was going to kill her from desire. Or something. She really couldn’t wait.

Duke is super laid back, except when he is not. Then he a passionate lover who always takes care of his lady first.  Carmella is one lucky lady.  She has a lot of insecurities, but she is not a whiney woe-is-me character.  She accepts her life and makes the most of it.  But when Duke offers her something that is too good to be true, it is hard for her to accept it can be real.  While Duke can get rowdy with the best of them, this story is about the patience in building a foundation, and so it builds slowly.  Yet, the sex between them revs quite quickly and they have no shortage of hot and sexy scenes.

EXCERPT

Carmella answered her door to find Duke standing on her porch with a six-pack
and some chips.

He held them aloft. “I was thinking we could hang out and have a beer and some snacks.”

She smiled, even as she looked down at herself. “Uh. I’m sort of messy. I was cleaning the kitchen.”

He walked in without saying anything else, but once he got to her kitchen, he turned back. “You look fantastic.”

Ginger had already abandoned her nap at the sound of Duke’s voice and deposited herself at his “So easy,” she murmured to the dog as she joined them in the kitchen.
“Glasses or the
bottle okay?” He indicated the beer with a tip of his chin.

“Bottle is fine. There’s an opener in that drawer there.” She pointed. “If you’re hungrier than just chips and dip, there’s leftover baked ziti. I was just thinking about some dinner.”

“Leftover ziti? How is that even possible? Was everyone sick? I promise if you made me baked ziti, I’d eat every last bit.” He cocked his head and looked extra hot.

She put a hand on her hip. He was so totally full of it. “Actually, I made a smaller one for myself and took two to a big family dinner. It’s my uncle’s favorite. But I brought home coconut cake and some other stuff.”

Carmella bent to look in her fridge because he was standing so very close and she was getting giddy. Giddy was bad. Giddy ended up being the last time she slept with her ex. Though to be fair, it had been fantastic.

This man was a giddy nuclear reactor and it made her girl parts want to be so stupid.

And then he bent to peer into the fridge at her side. “Jesus Christ. Carmella. Baby, this is the most organized refrigerator I’ve seen in my entire life. I’m in awe.”

She was so surprised and weirdly flattered, Carmella turned to look at him and ended up whacking

her forehead to his so hard she saw stars against her closed eyes. Firm hands took her by the upper arms and helped her stand though she wobbled a little.

“Honey, are you all right?”

“Ouch,” Carmella managed. “Sorry. I got you pretty hard.”

Duke laughed as he moved the hand she’d had over her forehead and replaced it with a bag of frozen berries. “My go‑to is corn usually, but you don’t have any. That should help. I’m okay. I have a very hard head. That’s totally true so stop it with that look of yours.”

“You have a go‑to remedy for head bumping?” Carmella sat at one of the stools at the island. “And what look do you mean?”

“Works for busted knuckles, black eyes, the usual sort of lifestyle-related injuries.”

Carmella winced when she raised her brow at him. “Lifestyle-related?”

Duke shrugged. “What can I say? Ass kicking and fisticuffs seem to be a regular part of my life. And the look I meant is the one you’re wearing right now. The one you give that makes everyone feel like a wayward boy who craves your approval.”

“I have that look? Really?” How awesome! She clearly needed to use it more.

“You do. Why do you think we’re all so obedient to your paperwork rules?”

“Because it’s efficient and makes money move back into the shop more quickly?”

He laughed again and then moved the bag of fruit to kiss the sore spot.

They both went very still.

His muscles tightened, the tension radiating from him made her dizzy. And probably crazy, but needing to soothe. So she slid her hands up the wall of his chest, not to restrain or hold back, no matter how much she told herself that lie.

Once she touched him, she knew it to her toes that everything had changed.

“Damn it,” he snarled and then kissed her. Only, no. He took her mouth, owned it, and had his wicked way with it.

Hot Rods, Hot Heroes, and Hot sex: it's a trifecta. Set in a custom body shop, car and bike aficionados will be heaven.  Of course the owner is an off the scales Alpha hottie.  When PJ starts her own custom painting business, she not only has to prove her talent to the owner, but also that their relationship is worth a try.  But she's been trying to prove herself to her family for so long that she knows just what to do. Asa moves from fighting against her attempts to be in his life to fighting anyone that causes her pain, defending her and taking on her battles.  While they come from different places in life, they have both arrived at the same place, making them perfect soul mates.

EXCERPT

Twisted Steel was magnificent.

PJ turned in a slow circle as she stood in the middle of their showroom. Just to her left, a 1970 Chevelle. Candy-apple red.

Big windows fronted the space, but they managed to still give it a sort of intentionally gritty feel inside with black leather couches placed in a way to look at the cars and bikes on display like art.

She loved it so very much. Bold and clever. It took itself very seriously when it came to the product but also had a little bit of tongue-in-cheek self-deprecation. Delicious design choices all over the place, including a custom Harley Softail in black matte that gave her a little shiver.

She’d thought it impossible for Asa to be any hotter, until she saw this place.

“If you’re done getting all wet over cars can we get your makeup done?” Audra called out.

“Do you see this?” PJ pointed at the Softail’s back tire. “It’s so fat and delicious. I might actually be maybe a little wet, yes. But I’m just telling you that because we’re so close.”

PJ plopped down in front of a makeshift makeup station mirror.

“Go look at your outfits with Stella so she can get you styled for each.” Audra had taken on the task of organizing the shoot. She pointed at a rolling rack of clothes that had PJ’s name on it.

“I see a theme here.” Stella, who was acting as their makeup person for the day, took in each outfit.

Tom bounded into their space, amped up on coffee. “What? She’s like a ridiculously sexed-up girl next door. Guys love that. We all know it. So work it and sell my decks!”

“You can’t be here now. I have it handled.” Audra shoved him out and closed the door to the small conference room where they’d set up.

“He’s like a hamster on crack,” PJ muttered.

“The cutest hamster ever, though. Here.” Audra shoved an outfit PJ’s way.

The first dress turned out to be a pale blue-and-white gingham.

She wore it with red glitter pumps, and Stella teased PJ’s hair up in the back and curled her bangs before dividing at the nape of her neck into two braids.

Thick liner, red lips, and a beauty mark and she found herself shoved back out.

“PJ, come over and meet Frank, he’s the photographer.” Tom introduced them. “We’re set up in the shop so come on with me.”

She tried not to trip and fall as she kept stopping to gape at things. Where the showroom had been all about the art of the completed project—a perfect experience for a potential client—the shop, with its bays and workstations, was clearly the heart of the operation.

High windows sent shafts of light down onto the shop floor and to the offices that ringed it. It was orderly and tidy without being compulsively so.

She skidded to a halt when she saw the car she’d be posing with.

“Sweet mother of Bob Dylan,” she breathed out at the sight of the deep blue 1950 Cadillac roadster convertible before her.

“I take it that means you approve?” Frank asked her.

“I might need some alone time with this car later.”

“I know the owner. He might allow it.”

She turned to catch sight of Asa walking over. Walking! Ha. Prowling was a far better word. The air seemed to hum around him, and she found it a little harder to breathe. Especially when he came to a halt just inches from where she stood.

“This is yours?” She might have an orgasm just looking at the car. And now she knew it was his.

He nodded, the corner of his mouth hitching up slightly.

“Morning, PJ.”

“Morning, Asa. I’m going to have a moment with your car, but I won’t do anything she doesn’t want.”

He stepped closer. “What if she does? What if she wants it all?”

Man, was she in over her head. Just flirting with him was taking all her effort. What would he be like in bed? What would he kiss like?

“I’d want to take it slow. Just the tip. At first. If she didn’t like it we’d stop.”

The smile on his mouth made her tingly.

“I might try that one. Just the tip has mixed results.”

Oh, well. That one made her a little dizzy. And by the look he wore, he knew the effect he was having.

“I doubt that.”

“What?”

“Mixed results. You strike me as an overachiever.” PJ lowered her lashes a little as she took in the heft of all that steel. Of course he had a Caddy. Big, strong, bold. Totally in charge.  Just like him.

“So if I’d given you the ‘just the tip’ line?”

She smiled then. “I don’t know. Why don’t you try it now?”

PJ rather felt as if she was having an out-of-body experience. There was no other explanation for the words she’d just spoken. Out loud.

Asa opened his mouth and everything inside her seemed to still, just waiting to hear what he’d say.

And then Tom called out to get to work and they reluctantly parted.
