Review by pearls
Intrigue, plots and clandestine meetings keep this plot moving along.  When Lord Crosby set out to ruin the Green family, he didn't expect for the daughter to be a grown woman that would capture his attention with her looks and her brains.  Evangeline is equally compelled to stop Lord Crosby from seducing another unwitting woman.  While she sidesteps her overbearing mother, he is a step a head of a horde of angry investors.  Can they manage their individual goals without all the juggled balls crashing to the ground.  Can be read as a stand-alone, but does include members of the Spare Heirs.  A good read for those who enjoy parlor games.
